dog training instructors if you have an affinity for dogs and a love for people you might be a good candidate for one of our programs. Our home stay dog training intensives for dog trainers is not a school for dog trainers, but you may Learn As MuchOne month intensives for all levels of dog trainers from beginners through advanced trainers (master dog trainers). This is not a school for dog trainers but it does offer a unique chance to live with and learn from an experienced dog training professional. We also offer a 2 to 7 day intensives for experienced dog trainers who want to learn about the possibilities of Lifestyle Support Dog® training and new ways to incorporate dog training into society. These programs are designed for guest dog trainers. I have developed dog trainer intensives as informal homestays, where the guest trainer stays at my house. They are sort of the human equivalent to my homestay dog programs. One month dog training intensive programs are for those who want to immerse themselves in my proven Concepts In Dog Behavior® mixed dog training system as well as those who want to learn about my emerging Lifestyle Support Dog® strategies. Our one month homestay is a great opportunity for the beginning dog trainer who wants to learn from an experienced professional. I believe I have seen schools for dog trainers that are as short as one month. The one month intensive is a great way for beginning dog trainers to jumpstart their careers. However, I do recommend that new trainers have at least some experience with dogs before attending my programs. This could be through volunteer work or in another part of the pet industry. For the experienced dog trainer who can’t leave their practice for long I offer a 2 to 7 day intensive program. The short intensive programs can either be done as a home stay for trainers visiting from outside the area or as drop in visits for local trainers. At this point the Lifestyle Support Dog® programs are in their emergent phase. The first stages of the Lifestyle Support Dog® programs deal with hazard avoidance and can be incorporated into most styles of dog training. However, a solid foundation in positive reinforcement training is desirable for the middle stages of the program. The advanced stage of the Lifestyle Support Dog® program is based on positive reinforcement, understanding, and acceptance. At this time I am only offering the beginning Lifestyle Support Dog® programs, however the homestay training format will give visiting trainers the opportunity to discuss the possibilities and future of RenChenZa® Lifestyle Support Dog® training. My intensive programs can to a large extent be customized to the individual’s needs and interests. One month Home stay dog training intensives for dog trainers start at $1,600. Beginning trainers will share a common living area. 2 to 7 day dog training intensives for dog trainers starts at $200 per day for days one through three and $100 per day for days four through seven. Three days would be $600 and seven days would be $1,000. Drop in programs may be eligible for a fee reduction. Experienced trainers who wish to visit can choose to stay in our guest room or the common living area. The common area may be preferable if there are no other guests. I also offer longer dog trainer apprenticeship programs.
